For Reviewers — Earn Credits by Reviewing
Feedbackfirst rewards you for leaving thoughtful feedback. Every validated review earns you credits that you can spend to launch your own product, or sell for cash. There's no daily cap — the only limit is feedback quality.
Why Review on Feedbackfirst?
Your feedback has real value. Unlike other platforms where reviews are unpaid, Feedbackfirst pays you in credits. Validated feedback earns +5 credits. Quick feedback earns +1 credit. The first structured feedback on a product earns a +10 bonus.
No daily cap. Review as many products as you want. The more quality feedback you leave, the more you earn.
Build your reputation. A weekly leaderboard ranks the best contributors. Your public profile shows your validated feedback count and your score. Makers actively seek out reviewers with a strong track record.
Spend or sell. Use earned credits to publish your own product for free. Or sell surplus credits on the marketplace at your own price.
How to Start Reviewing
Step 1: Sign Up
Go to Feedbackfirst and create an account. No credit card required.
Step 2: Browse Products
Go to the Discover page and explore products from the community. You'll see:
- Product name and description
- Category (SaaS, App, Other)
- Status (MVP, Active, Launched)
- Number of feedbacks already received
- Link to the product
Step 3: Leave Feedback
Click "Leave feedback" on any product. You have two options:
Option 1: Structured Feedback (Earns +5 credits)
Structured feedback covers 4 dimensions:
- What's clear? — What works well, what's easy to understand, what impressed you
- What's confusing? — What needs better explanation, what's unclear in the UX, what could be simpler
- What works? — What's good, what's well-designed, what solves the problem well
- What to improve? — What needs fixing, what's missing, what could be better
Each dimension should be 1-3 sentences. Be specific. Don't just say "great product" — explain what makes it great.
Example:
- Clear: The onboarding flow is intuitive. I understood the core features in under 2 minutes.
- Confusing: The pricing page doesn't explain what's included in each plan. I had to click through to understand the difference between Pro and Enterprise.
- Works: The dashboard is clean and responsive. Data loads instantly even with large datasets.
- Improve: Add keyboard shortcuts for power users. Also, the export feature only supports CSV — adding JSON would be helpful.
Option 2: Quick Feedback (Earns +1 credit)
A shorter, less structured review. Still useful, but less detailed than structured feedback.
Example:
"Love the design, but the mobile app is slow. Otherwise great product!"
Step 4: Get Validated
The maker reviews your feedback and decides if it's useful.
- Validated → You earn credits immediately
- Not validated → You earn nothing
The maker is the judge. This is what keeps quality high.
Earning Credits
Credit Rewards
| Feedback Type | Credits | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Structured feedback (validated) | +5 | Covers 4 dimensions, specific and actionable |
| Quick feedback (validated) | +1 | Shorter, less detailed |
| First structured feedback on a product | +10 | Bonus for being the first to review a product |
| Subscription bonus | +1 or +3 | Growth plan: +1 per validated action. Pro plan: +3 per validated action |
No Daily Cap
There's no limit to how many products you can review or how many credits you can earn in a day. The only limit is feedback quality.
Subscription Bonuses
With a paid plan, you earn bonus credits on every validated action:
- Growth (€19/month): +1 bonus credit per validated feedback
- Pro (€39/month): +3 bonus credits per validated feedback
Example: With the Pro plan, a validated structured feedback earns 5 + 3 = 8 credits instead of 5.
Spending Credits
Publish Your Own Product
Use earned credits to launch your own product.
- 1 credit = Publish one product
- 20 credits = Premium Spotlight (7-day featured slot)
Many reviewers earn enough credits in their first week to publish their own product for free.
Sell Credits on the Marketplace
If you have more credits than you need, sell them.
How it works:
- List your credits on the marketplace
- Set your own price (e.g., €0.50 per credit, €1.00 per credit, etc.)
- A buyer purchases via Stripe
- You receive the net amount after commission
- Credits are reserved immediately, refunded if unsold after 30 days
Commission:
- Free plan: 15% commission
- Growth or Pro plan: 10% commission
Example:
You have 100 credits and list them at €0.75 per credit.
- Gross: 100 × €0.75 = €75
- Commission (15%): €11.25
- You receive: €63.75

Best Practices for High-Quality Feedback
Be Specific
❌ "Good product" ✅ "The dashboard is intuitive, but the export feature only supports CSV. Adding JSON export would be helpful for developers."
Focus on the User Experience
Consider:
- Is the onboarding clear?
- Is the UI intuitive?
- Are there any bugs or performance issues?
- What's missing?
- What could be improved?
Be Constructive
Criticism is fine, but make it actionable. Don't just say what's wrong — suggest how to fix it.
❌ "The pricing is confusing." ✅ "The pricing page doesn't explain what's included in each plan. I'd suggest adding a comparison table showing features by tier."
Test the Product
Don't just skim the landing page. Actually use the product. Try the core features. Test the onboarding. This is what makers value.
Be Honest
Makers want honest feedback, not flattery. If something doesn't work, say so. But also acknowledge what works well.
Common Questions
How long does it take to get validated?
It depends on the maker. Most validate within 24-48 hours. Some validate immediately.
What if my feedback isn't validated?
You earn nothing. But don't be discouraged. Ask yourself: Was it specific? Was it actionable? Did I actually test the product? Use it as a learning opportunity.
Can I review the same product twice?
Yes, but only the first structured feedback on a product earns the +10 bonus. Subsequent reviews earn the standard +5 or +1.
How do I know if my feedback was validated?
You'll get a notification. Your credits are added to your account immediately.
Can I withdraw my feedback?
Yes, you can edit or delete your feedback anytime before it's validated. After validation, it becomes part of the product's public feedback history.
How do I cash out my credits?
List them on the marketplace and wait for a buyer. Payments are processed via Stripe and deposited to your account.
