Credit System

Credits are Feedbackfirst's currency. You earn them by leaving feedback, spend them to get discovered, or sell them for cash. It's a real reward for real effort.

Earning Credits

As a Reviewer

Leave feedback and get validated:

Example:

You leave a structured feedback on a product. The maker validates it.

  • Base: +5 credits
  • If you have Growth plan: +1 bonus = 6 credits total
  • If you have Pro plan: +3 bonus = 8 credits total

As a Maker

You don't earn credits directly, but you can:

  1. Review other products — Earn credits by leaving feedback
  2. Publish updates — Show that you're active and engaged
  3. Engage with the community — Build reputation and get better feedback

Spending Credits

Publish a Product

Cost: 1 credit

Publish your product on Feedbackfirst and start receiving feedback from the community.

Premium Spotlight

Cost: 20 credits Duration: 7 days What you get: 4 featured spots at the top of the Discover page

Spotlight is time-limited and purely additive — it doesn't affect your organic ranking. It's a way to boost visibility when you need it.

Selling Credits

If you have more credits than you need, sell them on the marketplace.

How to Sell

  1. Go to your workspace
  2. Click "Marketplace"
  3. Click "Sell Credits"
  4. Enter the number of credits
  5. Set your price (e.g., €0.50 per credit)
  6. Click "List"

Pricing

You set the price. Market rates typically range from €0.25 to €1.00 per credit, depending on demand.

Commission

  • Free plan: 15% commission
  • Growth/Pro plan: 10% commission

Example:

You list 100 credits at €0.75 per credit.

  • Free plan: €75 × 0.85 = €63.75 earned
  • Growth/Pro plan: €75 × 0.90 = €67.50 earned

Payment

Buyers pay via Stripe. You receive payment via bank transfer or Stripe payout.

Credit Expiry

Credits don't expire. They stay in your account indefinitely.

Subscription Bonuses

Paid plans give you bonus credits on every validated action:

Growth Plan (€19/month)

  • 25 monthly credits included
  • +1 bonus credit per validated feedback
  • 10% marketplace commission (vs. 15% on free)

Example:

With Growth plan:

  • Earn 25 credits per month automatically
  • Each validated structured feedback earns 5 + 1 = 6 credits
  • Each validated quick feedback earns 1 + 1 = 2 credits
  • Sell credits at 10% commission

Pro Plan (€39/month)

  • 60 monthly credits included
  • +3 bonus credits per validated feedback
  • 10% marketplace commission (vs. 15% on free)

With Pro plan:

  • Earn 60 credits per month automatically
  • Each validated structured feedback earns 5 + 3 = 8 credits
  • Each validated quick feedback earns 1 + 3 = 4 credits
  • Sell credits at 10% commission

Credit Transactions

Your workspace shows all credit transactions:

  • Credits earned from feedback
  • Credits spent on publishing
  • Credits spent on Spotlight
  • Credits sold on marketplace
  • Monthly credit allocations (if on paid plan)

Common Scenarios

Scenario 1: Free Path to Publishing

  1. Sign up (get 1 free credit)
  2. Review 5 products, get 5 validated (earn 25 credits)
  3. Publish your product (costs 1 credit)
  4. Remaining balance: 25 credits
  5. Book a Premium Spotlight (costs 20 credits)
  6. You've published and boosted visibility without spending a cent

Scenario 2: Reviewer Earning Cash

  1. Sign up on Free plan
  2. Review 20 products per month, get 16 validated (earn 80 credits)
  3. Sell 50 credits at €0.75 per credit
  4. Earn: €50 × 0.85 = €42.50 per month
  5. Use remaining 30 credits to publish your own product

Scenario 3: Growth Plan Maker

  1. Subscribe to Growth plan (€19/month)
  2. Receive 25 monthly credits
  3. Publish 2 products (costs 2 credits)
  4. Book 1 Premium Spotlight (costs 20 credits)
  5. Remaining: 3 credits
  6. Plus: Earn credits from reviewing other products

Tips for Maximizing Credits

For Reviewers

  1. Focus on quality — Validated feedback earns 5 credits. Dismissed feedback earns 0.
  2. Be the first — First structured feedback on a product earns +10 bonus
  3. Get a paid plan — Growth plan adds +1 bonus per feedback. Pro plan adds +3.
  4. Sell surplus credits — If you earn more than you need, sell them

For Makers

  1. Review other products — Earn credits to spend on your own visibility
  2. Engage with the community — Makers who contribute get better feedback
  3. Validate useful feedback — Show reviewers their input matters
  4. Publish updates — Keep your product active and visible

Credit Refunds

Credits are non-refundable. However:

  • If you publish a product and it's removed, you don't get the credit back
  • If you book a Spotlight and it's cancelled, you don't get the credits back
  • If you sell credits and the buyer disputes the transaction, Stripe may refund the buyer

Troubleshooting

I earned credits but they're not showing

Credits are added when feedback is validated. Check that the maker has actually validated your feedback. You'll get a notification when they do.

I sold credits but didn't receive payment

Payments are processed via Stripe. Check your Stripe account for the transaction. If you don't see it, contact support.

I want to cancel my subscription

You can cancel anytime. Your credits remain in your account and can still be used.
